We stayed in Pemuteran, Bali for 5 days; a seaside village with mangroves on many of the shorelines. We went on a ferry to get there from Java. It is a lovely setting with nature enveloping you from every side. We went snorkelling, kayaking and on nature walks. I also did a cooking class and made traditional Indonesian snacks. We went diving in Menjangan which was beautiful, the corals were amazing!! When snorkelling, we saw our first turtle! They are so majestic. Me and my mum went on a dive and we saw some dazzling corals and flamboyant fish. The hotel we stayed in was lovely, our villa was on the beachfront and we saw deer wading through the silty water and monkeys on the beach. One night, me and my mum saw a massive monitor-lizard scurrying away into the mangrove forest. It was the biggest one I saw on our travels! The sunsets were stunning and immersed you in a sea of color. It was a wonderful experience and we had an amazing time there!
