The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (in Singapore)

The Buddha Tooth Relic temple was fantastic! The lower part of this beautiful building is decorated with 200 statues of the Buddha, all in different mudras (symbolic positions) as well as many more maitreya gau. Then there were statues of all the symbols of the different years of birth e.g. I am the year of the snake.

The upper part is like a museum of Buddhist artefacts. But best of all, there is the room of the Buddha tooth relic! It is beautiful. It is covered in gold and gemstones; the gated section of the relic is made out of pure gold!

We also saw the monks and religious students praying which was SUPER COOL! The top bit gave you a view of the whole of china town.
