In Singapore they have LOADS of cool quirks!
For example, this eco-friendly umbrella dryer:

There were cool bike racks with tools stationed to do a DIY fix:

Plants grow in between, on top of and around all sorts of buildings, even skyscrapers!

Finally everything is so eco friendly, spotless and green that you seem to have time travelled into the future!

It’s not always been like this though…

From this mural, we learnt a lot about the history of Singapore!
It started out as a muddy, swampy, isolated area; it was poor and nothing like the futuristic city that is now thriving. However, since the prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew, planted a tree in a mudflat, this astounding city has been evolving rapidly: a plan was made for the first version of a new Singapore. He stated that this magnificent country: ‘values hard work’ and ‘can do anything when doing it’. This was closely followed by the clear up of the river and the commencing of the “annual tree planting day”! (Singapore now values nature highly and does a lot to prevent damage to the environment.) Later on, a second plan of the city was made, building the prosperous, green, beautiful city we know today.
