We’ve left Koh Samui now for Singapore but in the last few days there I… learnt to dive!
On Saturday morning, I left the villa, ready for my introduction to diving: the pool session!
I learnt: how to set up the equipment, how to breathe from my regulator, how to inflate my BCD, how to control my buoyancy, filling my mask with water and clearing it – all underwater!- and many other essential and fun skills. I also learnt what to do in a variety of different emergencies (such as being out of air). It was really fun!
On Monday, I did my open water diving session, I was really nervous! However, I did it and… I passed! I can officially dive!
Diving was so cool! The stunning marine life interwoven with beautiful corals and plants is like another world! It was an incredible experience and I definitely recommend it! The diving instructor, called Sybilla, was really kind and patient.
Once, when I was posing for a photo, my hand went inside my regulator and I pulled it out of my mouth! Luckily, I was OK.
Diving was amazing and I can’t wait to do it again!
