Dholavira was our last stop in Gujarat. It is an island nestled into the vast salt planes called the Rann of Kutchh. Whilst we stayed here we saw the Harappan ruins; an ancient city built by a civilization shrouded in mystery. We learnt about the intelligent Harapans, the structure of their city and techniques for surviving in harsh desert conditions. We also went to a fossil park displaying fossilized trees dating back to 186 – 176 million years ago! On our second night we went to a cultural night with traditional singing and dancing. We had loads of fun here!!
